I have not had a chance to report in muc ever since the incident a couple of days ago. I only wish that I could accept the command during better circumstances. All the senior bridge staff, except for myself and Lieutenant, now Commander Oswyn, are dead, as well as about a third of the crew. We're down to only 231 crewmembers. Repairs have been going on steadily for the past thirty six hours. I've barely had two hours of rest.

Sensors have revealed something frightening. Even that word doesn't even begin to describe it. We're on the farthest side of galaxy M33, or the Triangulum Galaxy. Even with transwarp and quantum slipstream drive, it will take approximately thirty five years to get back to the edge of our galaxy, and even then, another three years to reach Earth. I can't help feeling like we've just become the second Voyager.

As the new captain, I expect the crew to act as efficiently as possible. After all, we're in a whole new galaxy. Since we're not sure if Galen's ancestral species, or the Preservers, seeded this galaxy like they did the Milky Way, we're not sure what types of life forms to expect. I have to get back to work.
