In 2080 Earth sent out Randall 1, a probe to the Kuiper Belt to investigate strange signals detected by the New Horizons spacecraft shortly before Earth lost contact with it. When it arrived in 2085 it detected the same signal. It was also able to take a few pictures of what looked like an alien ship. The probe detected many other signals before apparently shutting down.
